The Sales Portal is an internal business tool operated by Drilling Tools International (DTI) for its sales team and approved partners. This page explains what the portal stores and how it's used. Last updated August 2026.

What we store

  • Your account — name, work email, a securely hashed password, your authenticator (2FA) enrollment, and, if you enable text notifications, your mobile number.
  • What you post — updates, comments, follow-ups, and photo/video attachments. These are business records about rigs and companies, and they're visible to every approved user of the portal — don't post anything you wouldn't share with the whole team.
  • Coverage and administration — which reps are assigned to which accounts, and an audit log of administrative changes (who changed what, and when).
  • Industry data — rig names, operators, locations, and statuses come from a licensed industry data feed; that's market data, not personal data.

How it's used

Only to run the portal: signing you in, showing the team's activity, routing the notifications you've chosen, and keeping an accountable record of changes. We don't sell or share your information for marketing, and there is no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking on this site. Cookies are used solely to keep you signed in and to secure forms.

Services that help deliver it

  • Email is sent through DTI's own mail system.
  • Text messages are delivered by Twilio, which processes your mobile number and the message content in order to send them. Texts are optional — they're only sent if you add your number and turn them on.
  • Push notifications go through your browser vendor's push service (e.g. Google, Apple, or Mozilla); the message content is encrypted end-to-end.
  • The rig map loads its background map images from OpenStreetMap; while viewing the map, your browser requests those images directly, as it would from any website.

Where it lives, and for how long

Everything is stored on DTI-managed servers. Posts, attachments, and audit history are kept as long-term business records — the portal's value is its history, so content generally isn't deleted. Accounts are deactivated rather than erased so the record of who wrote what stays intact.
